Privacy Policy
1. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, profile details (age, gender, location, bio), answers to compatibility questions, photos you upload, and messages you send. We also collect authentication data (passkey credentials; sign-in link and session tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes) and usage data such as login timestamps. There are no passwords — sign-in uses passkeys and emailed sign-in links. If you try the short taster on our home page before creating an account, those answers are stored against a random token in a cookie — not against your name or email, which we do not have yet — so they can be added to your profile if you sign up. They are deleted automatically if you do not.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your answers are used to calculate personality dimensions and compatibility scores with other users. Profile information is displayed to other users based on your visibility settings. Messages are stored to enable conversations between matched users. Photos are processed and resized for optimal display.
3. Answer Visibility
You control the visibility of each answer. "Public" answers are visible to all users. "Match" answers are only visible to mutual likes. "Private" answers are never shown to other users and are only used for matching calculations. Spicy category answers default to private.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only with other users of the platform according to your visibility settings. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes. We comply with legal requests for data from law enforcement when required.
5. Data Security
We implement security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure session management, HTTP security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options), path traversal protection for file uploads, and input validation. There is no password to steal or leak: you sign in with a passkey or an emailed sign-in link, and the underlying tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes. Passkey authentication provides phishing-resistant login.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data (right to be forgotten), restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. You can delete your entire account and all associated data from Profile Setup > Security.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, answers, messages, photos, and personality profiles are permanently removed. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained for analytics.
8. Blocking & Safety
You can block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot send you messages, see you in match results, or view your unread message count. You can manage blocked users in Profile Setup > Security. You can report inappropriate messages, photos, or questions.
9. Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies for authentication and a language cookie to remember your English/Danish choice. We use local storage for dark mode preference. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
10. Advertising
We may show ads on the free self-discovery pages (personality types, dimensions, birth charts). If we do, they are served by us and chosen by what is on the page — never by anything you have told us. We do not run third-party ad scripts, we do not set advertising or tracking cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we never share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Our Content Security Policy blocks third-party scripts outright, so this is enforced by the site itself and not only promised here. Messaging, matches, and everything else behind sign-in carry no advertising at all.
